About Lusco Brick & Stone

Lusco Brick & Stone is one of Wichita’s oldest and most reputable companies. Originally chartered as the Lumberman’s Supply Company in 1907, the company was reincorporated and renamed The Lusco Brick & Stone Company in 1927. Lusco moved to our current location and site of operations at 929 E. 14th Street in 1976. By the time of this move the plan for Lusco’s operations to consolidate and focus on serving the Wichita and south central Kansas market area as the premier brick, stone and masonry products company was near completion….. (see our Lusco history!).

Today

Today, The Lusco Brick & Stone Company remains the leader in introducing and providing architectural and residential masonry products to the Wichita and Kansas market area.

  • Lusco continues to represent the premier brick manufacturers, stone quarriers and fabricators in the country. Because of our central location, we can provide brick and stone efficiently to our market area from plants to our east, west, north and south thus offering the widest variety of masonry material selections for architectural, residential and paving applications.
  • In recent years, Lusco has seen steady growth in our sales of natural and manufactured stone products for both architectural and residential usage. Part and parcel with this is the growth in Lusco’s sale of “thin-adhered” masonry products including “thin-brick”, “thin-stone” (natural and manufactured) along with various accessories and systems for “thin-masonry” installation.
  • Lusco also has more than a 25 year of history supplying Architectural CMU (concrete masonry units), concrete hardscape retaining wall, paving products, fireplace/refractory materials, and many other masonry accessories.
  • Since the 1930s Lusco is also proud to have provided several area projects with various ‘masonry specialty’ products including Glass Block, Glazed Brick/Structural Glazed Tile, and Stone ‘Clip’ ‘Rain-screen systems’
  • The company makes ongoing efforts to stay involved in industry and community associations. Lusco also encourages and promotes continuing education on masonry construction to the design and construction community.
  • In October 2007, we celebrated our centennial and TODAY, at 110 years of age we are looking to the:

Future

The future for Lusco Brick & Stone looks promising and full of opportunity. The current generation of Lusco leadership, in their remaining years of active involvement, is actively preparing for the next generation and the next major milestones for the company. As we did in our early days a century ago (+), we see our continued successes manifesting vertically, in achieving increased market shares and making new offerings, and horizontally, with continuing to expand our geographical outreach.

We owe our vision for the future to the many employees, owners and suppliers around the country who have made Lusco a part of their lives over the last 110 years.

AND….. We thank the multitude of customers who have allowed us to serve them for 110 years. To all, we extend our deepest appreciation and pledge our continued service.
